The Malaysia Environmental Reporting Awards presentation ceremony was held on 11 March 2003. YB Dato’ Haji Zainal Dahalan, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment Malaysia presented the Awards to four winners:

Shell Malaysia (Best Environmental Report)
Sony Technology Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Runner Up, Best Environmental Report)
Ford Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Commendation For Environmental Reporting)
Golden Hope Plantations Bhd (Commendation For Environmental Reporting in An Annual Report) .
The ACCA Corporate Environmental Reporting Conference 2003 was organised to complement the ACCA Malaysia Environmental Reporting Awards (MERA) 2002. The conference was officiated by Puan Hajah Rosnani Ibarahim, Director General, Department of Environment, Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment Malaysia. One of the highlights in the conference was the launch of the Environmental Reporting for Malaysian Companies publication by Puan Hajah Rosnani.
